Using healmeal
healmeal is free to download. The core logging features are free. Some advanced features (unlimited AI scans, the restaurant menu scanner, advanced widgets) require a premium subscription.
By installing the app or using this website, you agree to use the product for personal, non-commercial purposes, and not to attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell it.
Subscriptions and billing
All premium subscriptions are billed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple, not healmeal, charges your payment method. We never see your card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date in your Apple ID settings. To cancel, open Settings on iPhone, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose healmeal, then cancel. Refund requests go to Apple, not to us. Apple's refund policy is at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Not medical advice
healmeal is an estimation and tracking tool. It is not a medical device. Calorie and macro estimates are approximations and may vary by 10 to 20 percent from precise lab measurements. Do not use healmeal in place of advice from a doctor, registered dietitian, or other qualified clinician, especially if you have an eating disorder history, diabetes, kidney or liver disease, are pregnant or nursing, or are taking medication that affects metabolism.
AI features
The AI photo recognition, menu scanner, and food description features use third-party vision and language models. They can make mistakes. Always check the result before saving and adjust the portion if it looks off.
Your content
Photos you take in healmeal belong to you. We do not claim ownership. We process them transiently to return a macro estimate, as described in the privacy policy. If you contact us with a suggestion, you grant us permission to use that suggestion to improve the app without obligation.
Liability
healmeal is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hachly Limited is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including missed nutritional targets, health outcomes, or any reliance on the macro estimates. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Termination
You can stop using healmeal at any time by deleting the app. We can suspend or terminate access if you abuse the service, such as by reverse-engineering, scraping the API, or attempting to defraud the IAP system.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country applies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when product or legal requirements change. Material changes are announced in the app on next launch with a 14-day notice. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
